Making Jesus the Priority

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” — Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)

Life can quickly fill up with responsibilities, people, plans, and distractions. But when Jesus is not first, everything else can become more important than it should be.

Making Jesus the priority means giving Him our first thoughts, first time, first love, and first obedience. It means choosing His will over our own and trusting Him with everything else.

When Jesus is first, we may not have fewer responsibilities, but we have the right perspective to face them. He doesn’t want to be part of our lives—He wants to be Lord of our lives.

Today, put Jesus first. Seek Him before the world gets your attention, and trust Him with everything that follows.

Prayer Jesus, help me put You first in every area of my life. Teach me to seek Your kingdom, follow Your Word, and trust You with everything else. In Jesus name Amen.
