When Love Showed Up

“In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.” — 1 John 4:9 (NKJV)

Love is more than a feeling—it is a Person. When Jesus stepped into this broken world, love showed up in flesh and blood. He touched the untouchable, forgave the guilty, healed the brokenhearted, and ultimately gave His life on the cross so we could have eternal life.

God didn’t wait for us to become worthy of His love. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8, NKJV). That is what love looks like. It pursues, sacrifices, and redeems.

When love showed up, fear lost its grip, hope was restored, and grace became available to everyone who believes. No matter what you’re facing today, remember that the same Jesus who showed God’s love to the world is with you now. His love has not changed, and it never will.

Heavenly Father, thank You for showing us what true love looks like through Jesus Christ. Help me to rest in Your unfailing love and reflect that love to others every day. May my life point people to the One who is love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
