Iron Sharpens Iron
“As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” — Proverbs 27:17 (NKJV)
God never intended us to walk this journey alone. Just as iron sharpens iron through contact, God uses the people around us to strengthen our faith, challenge our thinking, encourage our hearts, and sometimes lovingly correct our lives.
True friends don’t simply tell us what we want to hear. They point us back to God’s Word, pray with us, encourage us when we are weary, and challenge us to become more like Christ.
Don’t just look for someone who will sharpen you—be someone who sharpens others. This week, encourage someone, speak truth in love, pray with someone, or challenge a brother or sister to keep moving closer to Jesus.
Who is sharpening you—and whose life are you helping sharpen?
Prayer Lord, thank You for the people You place in my life. Give me the humility to receive correction and the courage to lovingly encourage others. Use me to sharpen, strengthen, and build up those around me for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Team Wade loves you and is praying for you ❤️👊
