Fulfilling the Great Commandment

“‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ … ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” — Matthew 22:37–39 (NKJV)

Jesus made our greatest responsibility very clear: love God completely and love people genuinely.

Loving God is more than attending church or knowing Scripture. It means giving Him our heart, our priorities, our obedience, and our daily lives. And loving our neighbor means allowing God’s love to flow through us—showing grace, extending forgiveness, serving others, and sharing Jesus.

We cannot fulfill the Great Commandment in our own strength. As we draw closer to Christ, His love changes the way we see and treat people.

Today, ask yourself: Is my love for God evident in the way I live, and is His love evident in the way I treat others?

Lord, help me love You with everything I have and love others as You have commanded. Let Your love be seen through my words, actions, and life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
