Make Prayer Your Priority

“Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.” — Colossians 4:2 (NKJV)

Prayer should not be something we turn to only when life falls apart. Prayer is our daily connection with the Father. When we make prayer a priority, we acknowledge that we need God in every area of our lives.

Jesus made prayer a priority, often withdrawing to quiet places to spend time with His Father. If Jesus valued prayer, we should too.

Don’t make prayer your last resort—make it your first response. Before you worry, pray. Before you decide, pray. Before you react, pray. When we put prayer first, we invite God to lead, strengthen, and transform us.

Prayer

Lord, teach me to seek You first and make prayer a priority every day. Draw me closer to You and help me trust You with everything. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
