Rest Is Worship

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)

In a world that celebrates constant activity, God reminds us that true strength is found in resting in Him. Rest is more than taking a break—it is an act of worship. When we intentionally stop striving and place our trust in God’s care, we declare that He is in control and we are not.

Resting in Christ means laying down our worries, releasing our burdens, and trusting His perfect timing. It is a quiet expression of faith that says, “Lord, I believe You are working even when I cannot see it.”

When we worship through rest, our souls are refreshed, our perspective is renewed, and our hearts become more attentive to the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Today, don’t feel guilty for resting in God’s presence. Sometimes the most worshipful thing you can do is to stop striving and simply abide in Jesus.

Father, thank You for inviting me into Your rest. Forgive me for trying to carry burdens You never intended me to bear. Help me to trust You completely and find peace in Your presence. May my rest be an act of worship that honors You and renews my soul. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
