The Pebble in the Shoe
“A little sin, like a little pebble in the shoe, will make a traveler to heaven walk very wearily.” — Charles Spurgeon“
I have discovered this principle of life—that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. I love God’s law with all my heart. But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me.” - Romans 7:21–23 NLT
As we walk together in our faith, we often find ourselves facing our own limitations. Recognizing our human weakness is the first step toward healing and growth. The truth is, we all struggle with sin at some point, as Paul shared in his letter to the Romans. It’s through acknowledging our shortcomings that we can truly seek God’s grace and strength in overcoming them.Being aware of our weaknesses lays a foundation for a more profound reliance on God.
When we embrace our vulnerabilities, we create space for God to work in our lives, showing us His incredible love and mercy. Together, we can support one another in this journey of transformation.
