When Nothing Takes the Hurt Away

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3 (NKJV)

There are moments when nothing seems to take the hurt away. Words don’t fix it. Time doesn’t seem to move fast enough. Even those who love us may not fully understand what we are carrying.

But God does.

The Bible never promises that we will avoid pain. It does promise that we will never have to carry it alone. God comes near to the brokenhearted, not with condemnation, but with compassion. Sometimes His healing is immediate; other times, He walks with us through the process, giving us strength for one more day.

When nothing else can take the hurt away, Jesus can hold you through it. You may still have tears, questions, and pain—but you can have His presence in the middle of it.

Give God the hurt today. You don’t have to pretend you’re okay. Bring Him your honest heart and let Him begin His work.

Lord, when the hurt is deeper than words can express, help me remember that You are near. Hold my heart, give me strength, and heal the places only You can reach. In Jesus’ name, amen.
