Written on Our Hearts

“Seek of God, that His law may be written on your hearts as if it were written on stone, and not as if it were written in sand." - Charles Spurgeon

“This is the new covenant I will make with my people on that day, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” - Hebrews 10:16 NLT

There it is. The writer of Hebrews makes it clear that God came to fulfill the law, which we could not do in and of ourselves. Why? To put us in righteous standing before a holy God. Now we are no longer saved by the law, but we are saved to love it, remember it, and walk in it.

Only a King like this do I desire to serve with total surrender.
