It Is Well With My Soul

“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.” — Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)

Peace is not the absence of storms; it is the presence of God in the middle of them. The words, “It is well with my soul,” are not spoken because life is easy—they are declared because God is faithful.

There will be days when prayers seem unanswered, hearts are heavy, and circumstances feel overwhelming. Yet our confidence is not in what we see but in the One who never changes. Jesus is still on the throne, His promises are still true, and His grace is still sufficient.

When we fix our minds on Christ instead of our circumstances, His peace guards our hearts. Even when everything around us feels uncertain, our souls can rest securely in Him.

Today, don’t let your situation determine your peace. Let your Savior determine it. Because of Christ, you can honestly say, “It is well with my soul.”

Heavenly Father, thank You for being my peace in every season of life. When my heart is troubled, help me to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus. Strengthen my faith to trust You even when I don’t understand what You’re doing. May Your perfect peace rule in my heart, and may I always be able to say, “It is well with my soul.” In Jesus’ name, Amen.
