The God of Priorities

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” — Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)

Our lives are filled with endless demands, distractions, and responsibilities. It’s easy to place work, possessions, or even good things ahead of God. Yet Jesus reminds us that the secret to a well-ordered life is not better time management—it is right priorities.

When God is first, everything else finds its proper place. He doesn’t ask for leftovers; He desires first place in our hearts, our schedules, our decisions, and our relationships. As we seek His kingdom above all else, He faithfully provides what we truly need.

Today, take a moment to evaluate your priorities. Is God at the center, or has something else taken His place? The God of priorities blesses those who put Him first.

Father, forgive me for the times I have allowed other things to take Your place. Help me to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Order my steps, align my heart with Your will, and let every priority in my life reflect my love for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
