Ponder This

“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder.” — Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV)

What kind of King leaves His throne to come near to the broken? What kind of King serves those He came to save? What kind of King gives His life for people who could never repay Him?

Jesus is a King like this.

He is not distant or unconcerned. He is our Savior, Shepherd, Redeemer, and King. His kingdom is not built on power as the world understands it, but on love, grace, truth, and sacrifice.

Today, let us remember who sits on the throne. Our circumstances may change, people may disappoint us, and life may bring unexpected storms—but our King remains faithful.

If Jesus is truly our King, then He deserves more than a place in our lives. He deserves first place.

Prayer Jesus, You are the King above every king. Help me surrender every part of my life to You, trust You completely, and live today in a way that honors Your name. Amen.
