A Garment of Praise

“Complaining robs God of his honor. Do not fail to give glory to your King.” — Charles Spurgeon

“How long will this wicked community grumble against me?” — Numbers 14:27

Father, today we ask that You fill our hearts with joy, paralyze our lips from complaining, and rebaptize our hearts, spirits, and souls with the fire of the Holy Spirit. May we be so full of Jesus that He is all the world sees. Let a complaining spirit become a stench to us—one so foul we refuse to entertain it. Give us beauty for ashes and a garment of praise instead of the clothes of “woe is me.” We give You, Father God, the honor and glory only You deserve.

In Jesus name!
