“This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him. For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with His feathers. He will shelter you with His wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter.” - Psalms 91:2-4, 9 NLT
Shelter of the Most High
Most people find it easier to admit they are angry or feel guilty about something they have done than to admit they are full of fear. Being afraid because the Earth is splitting open in front of us during an earthquake is not the same as having a spirit of fear or timidity. When there is a legitimate threat, fear can be a lifesaver. But living with a spirit of fear is ignoring that we can live in the shelter of the Most High and find rest in God's shadow.
