Letting Go of What God Brought You Through
“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing.” — Isaiah 43:18–19 (NKJV)
Sometimes the greatest battle we face is not what is happening around us, but what we continue carrying within us. The past can become a constant companion—bringing back regrets, failures, disappointments, and wounds God is calling us to release.
God does not ask us to pretend the past never happened. He asks us to stop allowing it to control our present or determine our future. There comes a time when we must stop looking backward and start trusting God for what lies ahead.
You cannot walk fully into God’s new thing while constantly reaching back for the old one. Forgiveness, surrender, and faith may require us to let go of what God has already brought us through.
Today, ask yourself: How far am I willing to go to leave the past behind? Take it to Jesus, surrender it completely, and trust Him with your tomorrow.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, help me release the past into Your hands. Heal what still hurts, forgive what needs forgiving, and give me the faith to move forward. Help me focus on what You are doing today rather than what happened yesterday. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Prayer is the key to releasing your past!
