Lean Into the Power

“Infinite power shall stoop that you may lean upon His shoulder.”— Charles Spurgeon

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”— Isaiah 41:10 NLT

You’ve probably heard the phrase, “Easy preaching, hard living.” How can something so simple be so difficult? We often assume that if we’re struggling, we must be out of God’s favor. If we’re in a dark season, we convince ourselves we’re not growing—or worse, that God has turned away. But the truth is this: growth most often happens in the tension, in the storm, in the valley.

The mistake we make is trying to muscle through on our own. But the same prescription applies every day: Lean into God’s Word. Pray like never before. And trust that the all-powerful God will stoop down—not in weakness, but in divine compassion—and hold you up with His victorious right hand.

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”— Matthew 6:33 NLT

It really is that simple. The only question left is: Will we do it?
